Configuration

Ringtone Media Studio is compatible with all major cell phones on the market. Your cell phone must support one of these three technologies:

• Data transfer via Bluetooth
• Data transfer via infrared
• Data transfer via cell phone data cable. (not furnished with the product)

Ringtone Media Studio doesn't require any subscriptions, additional downloads or supplementary costs. System requirements:

• Microsoft Windows® 98 SE, Millenium, 2000 and XP
• Pentium processor® II with 400 Mhz speed or greater
• 40 MB available disk space
• Recommended memory 128 of RAM or greater
• CD ROM
• Internet connection for automatic updates of compatible phones

Ringtone Media Studio supports the following file types:

• Ringtones: MP3*, MIDI, SMAF, WAV, AMR and CD audio (.cda)
• Images: jpeg, bmp, png, gif, tif
• Video**: MP4, 3GP, AVI

Compatible Cell Phones

Most brand name cell phones are pre-configured in Ringtone Media Studio.

With over 500 cell phone settings included in the software, you won't have to enter the characteristics of your mobile phone - the software will do it for you after you chose the brand and model. Ringtone Media Studio supports the following major cell phone manufacturers and more:

• Siemens
• Sony Ericsson

During installation, if your phone does not appear on the list of compatible phones, you should connect to the Internet for an automatic update to see whether your phone has been added to the list. Periodically connect to the Internet while the software is running so you can receive automatic updates any time new phones are launched in the marketplace. If you still do not see your cell phone type, it's easy to configure the software manually so that you can use your mobile with Ringtone Media Studio.

* Working with MP3 files requires an MP3 codec, which will already be on most computers.
** Working with Video files requires a video codec, which will already be on most computers.
